Rowbotham, Thomas Charles Leeson [1823-1874]
Painted Italian Lake views although he never visited there. His father Thomas Leeson [1782-1853]
Thomas Miles Richardson Jr. [1813-1890] travelled and painted widely in Europe. His major book SKETCHES IN ITALY, SWITZERLAND, FRANCE &c. Richardson's Sketches on the Continent. His use of bright colours partly helps distinguish him from Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham [1823-1874]
Both had followed in their fathers footsteps and both had some of their original paintings published in chromolithography, their styles resembled each other making it sometimes difficult to tell one from the other
